Case study
Full-field automation & monitoring is a game changer, enabling independent operators to do more with less
Location: Texas & Louisiana
Asset type: Dense, marginal shallow oil production
Product focus: Full-field automation & monitoring
An independent operator managing 1,000+ shallow oil wells across Texas and Louisiana was struggling to scale operations with reduced headcount after the COVID-19 downturn.
Amplified Industries deployed full-field oilfield automation across their leases — rod pump well controllers, IoT tank monitoring, and automated emergency shut-off — with no existing SCADA equipment required and less than 30 minutes to install per well.
The well controller enables automated control and optimization of rod pump wells, combining field automation with real-time monitoring and diagnostics.
The results across production, runtime, LOE, failure detection, and spill prevention exceeded expectations. Read the full story to see the numbers.
Before Amplified Industries Our customer is an independent oil & gas operator focused on operating shallow oil production. Reduced headcount due to the COVID-19 downturn created difficulty with re-scaling and reactivating idle assets, concurrent with working to improve the resiliency and efficiency of their operations. With upwards of 1,000 assets across both Texas and Louisiana, as well as relatively low per-well oil production, cost as well as ease of scale & use are key factors in their ability to adopt any new solutions. Given the lack of existing instrumentation coupled with difficult circumstances leading up to our deployment, there were countless underlying undetected issues found in the field.
